Christine Colborne has more than 20 years of experience in public relations, corporate and technical communications, most recently in high-technology industries. In December 1994, she joined Harry Hollingsworth in the partnership of Hollingsworth, Colborne & Associates.
She began her professional career in 1976, as an assistant editor of The Elberton (Ga.) Star after graduating from the University of Georgia's Henry Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. She subsequently served as editor of two Atlanta business publications, including Business Atlanta magazine. In 1978, she began her public relations career at The First National Bank of Atlanta (now Wachovia of Georgia). After leaving First Atlanta in 1981, she served as the national communications director and Houston practice office marketing director for BDO/Seidman and as director of investor relations for a New Orleans-based chemical manufacturer.
Since 1985, Ms.Colborne has been a consultant in the telecommunications and high-technology industries. She has designed, developed and produced technical publications, and systems, applications and user training. In addition, she has created public relations, marketing, and corporate communications programs for a variety of companies in the telecommunications and high-technology industries.
She has provided consulting services for such clients as Hitachi Telecom USA, AT&T Network Systems, AT&T Multimedia Software Solutions, Bell Atlantic, BellSouth, Cisco Systems, GTE, MCI, Boeing Computer Services, Mastercard International, Exxon, Bellcore, and Harris Corporation.
She also teaches part time at the Fulton County Charter High School for Math and Science.
She is a past-president of the Peachtree-Atlanta Kiwanis Club and is a former board member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (Atlanta Chapter) and Foundation Fighting Blindness (Atlanta Chapter).
